How I hold the concertina. Note the strap across the bottom which holds the bottom of the bellows closed. This, together with very slight downwards pressure from the thumbs, allows me to control the instrument without needing the little fingers in the pinky-rests. This in turn frees up the hand, and increases the ability of the other fingers to operate independantly of each other.
